Leah Gross OTR/L,
Founder and Director of Occupational Therapy Division
Becoming a mom has taught me that no one is invested in my child’s well being as much as I am. As a mom to a growing family I dream big for my children. I dream of bright futures; of happy relationships; of great achievement; and I strive to guide each child on his own path towards personal success. As an OT I’ve realized that parents of children who struggle to “make it” need a strong and skilled professional to partner with in order to make that dream a reality.
It is for that reason that The Therapy Place was born to bring equal opportunity to children who are held back from barriers that roadblock their success. I feel privileged every day that I continue to partake in actively building achievement, independence, and confidence, for I know that it is setting the foundation for the bright future I believe every child should have a chance to attain.
The joy I experience watching children develop more function gives me all the momentum I need to continue my work each day.
Esti Schiff
MS, CC-SLP, Director of Speech and Language Therapy
I have had the privilege of working with children for over 17 years and I never cease to be amazed at the uniqueness of each child. My goal has always been to develop a personal relationship with each child and communicate to them my belief in their abilities and my commitment to their success. Giving them this boost to their self-esteem ultimately gives them the confidence to maximize their potential.
My vast and varied experience in the field of Speech and Language Pathology includes working as a clinician and then moving on to supervising therapists and overseeing the Speech Department at a large educational facility in the New Jersey area. My experience also includes developing a language program for elementary school students as well as managing a private practice. I have also found it extremely rewarding training dozens of therapists over the years and observing them implementing those skills. As Director of Speech and Language at The Therapy Place I am drawing on my past experiences to lead the speech therapy practice and provide our clients with best in-class speech therapy services.
